Male Friendships

This kind of male friendship is hard to replace

• You already know who I'm talking about.

• Nothing dramatic happened.(The gap just stretched until calling felt like it needed an explanation).

• Some male friendships run on proximity and shared context. i.e working in the same area, living close by (When these conditions end, the friendships might fall apart without any explanation).

• Yet this long lost friend knows you better than most. They knew you before the job, the marriage and the version of yourself you've been presenting to colleagues and newer relationships)... Just because it felt safer.

• These kind of friendships are hard to replace because they know the authentic version of you.

• Making this phone call, sending this email or text message might be less awkward than you imagined. The avoidance is rarely about them. It's about what the call might ask of you.

• This is perhaps one of the less discussed losses of male adult life. Nothing dramatic happened, just a quiet and real loss.

If this sounds familiar, I offer a brief, no-pressure, no-commitment conversation to help you re-connect, find balance and experience deeper connections.
