You hold it together for everyone. Who holds the space for you?

Counselling for professionals struggling with anxiety, overthinking, emotional pressure and relationship difficulties. BACP registered therapist in Weybridge, Surrey.

You're good at what you do. That doesn't mean everything feels fine. Functioning on the outside but exhausted on the inside.

From the outside, it might look like you're functioning. The career, the responsibilities, the competence, but underneath, something isn't right. Maybe it's the anxiety that won't switch off, the overthinking that keeps you awake, or emotions of sadness, fear, anger, guilt or shame that are slowly wearing you down.

Perhaps it's affecting your relationships, your confidence, or your sense of who you are beyond your work. You might have been pushing through it for months or years, telling yourself it's just how life is.

It doesn't have to be.

Common Reasons Professionals Come to Me

Anxiety & overwhelm

The constant sense that something's about to go wrong. Racing thoughts, tightness in your chest, difficulty switching off.

Overthinking & self-doubt

Second-guessing every decision. Replaying conversations. Feeling like a fraud despite your track record.

Emotional pressure & burnout

Carrying too much for too long. Exhaustion that rest doesn't fix. The creeping feeling you've lost yourself somewhere along the way.

Relationship difficulties

Life transitions

Low mood & disconnection

Communication that's broken down. Betrayal, infidelity, distance from a partner. Patterns you keep repeating. Conflict that never seems to resolve.

Career change, retirement, redundancy, divorce, loss, becoming a parent. The moments when everything shifts and the ground feels unsteady.

A flatness you can't shake. Going through the motions. Feeling alone even when you're not.

Therapy that understands your whole experience

Your background, your identity, your culture, your family expectations, faith and spirituality — these shape how you experience stress, pressure and relationships. They also shape how easy or hard it feels to ask for help. I bring a culturally competent approach to therapy, which means I consider the psychological impact of race, culture and lived experience as part of our work together — not as an afterthought. You won't have to explain yourself before we can get to the real stuff.

Testimonials

“From the moment I engaged with the counselling service, I felt supported and understood. Each session gave me space to reflect, gain clarity, and set meaningful goals. This is always with gentle guidance, never pressure. The flexibility of online sessions suited my schedule perfectly, and I appreciated the thoughtful support documents between appointments. This journey has helped me build resilience and renewed confidence in handling life’s challenges. Thank you for being a steady presence through the journey.”

“Adeola is generous, human, warm and grounded. From the initial trial session, Adeola took the time to hear what was troubling me. I instantly felt comfortable speaking to her as she is non-judgemental and sees me as a whole person – not just my problems. I left sessions feeling understood, lighter, more positive and normal because I’m given practical ways to think about and respond to difficult situations. I was able to steer the counselling to a way that works for me and felt free to speak about and ask questions about what was going on in my life.

At the end of the sessions, we recap the most helpful talking points from the notes I’ve written which is a great way to lock in what I’ve learnt.”

“My sessions were fantastic and I felt supported throughout all the sessions.

I gained clarity and look forward to checking in from time to time.”
